CFN Message Board The CFN Message Board was set up through Yahoo Groups as a family-friendly online message forum for members to share information and “talk” with other CFN families. Members may use this service pass along information on a wide array of topics that may interest Concord Families, including issues related to parenting, the town, the schools, CFN and other issues that may interest Concord families. Members may also use this resource to inform other families about community events and resources, request recommendations (restaurants, pediatricians, etc.), arrange informal play dates, help find sitters, sell used/homemade items, etc. If you are already registered for this service, please click here to go to view/post messages. Simply enter your Yahoo ID and password. If you are not registered, you may do so via your invitation e-mail. If you never received this invitation, or your invitation was deleted or expired, please click here to e-mail our message board moderator. Please note that you must be a CFN member to use this service. If you are not already a member, please go to our membership page and sign up. We have a lot to offer you in addition to your message board invitation, which we will send to you shortly after we receive your membership form and payment. If you would like more information about the Concord Family Network, please e-mail concordfamilyntwk@yahoo.com. Some important net-iquette items when using the CFN Message Board include: § Subject Line. Please be as specific as possible (looking for a sitter, size 4 boys clothes available, great restaurant for date nights!) so as to simplify the reader experience; § Replying to Sender. By hitting “Reply,” your message will go to the entire community. If you want to send a personal response to the message author (e.g., if you are inquiring about something the author is selling), please do not use the Reply button. Instead, copy his/her e-mail address and send this via your own account. When opening a message, the author’s home e-mail address will appear on the “from” line. Unless a different address is offered in the message text, please use this address rather than deferring to their Yahoo address (i.e., the displayed username @yahoo.com); it is likely that many members will never check their Yahoo account.
§
Offer your e-mail address.
When posting a message
to the forum, please put your email address in § Be kind to your neighbors. Please remember that messages are not reviewed prior to posting and as such we are asking all members to use their own judgment when sending messages. Our intention is for this to be a place for parents to engage in respectful, courteous, online dialog with one another. If you have a question about your Yahoo Groups account, click here.
