Playgroups for Future Kindergarten Classmates

The CFN Kindergarten Playgroups provide CFN children with the opportunity to get to know their future classmates. The playgroups meet periodically on dates determined by each group. Siblings are welcome (unless otherwise noted), but the focus is on activities appropriate for the age of the children in the group.

The 2010 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2004 through August 31, 2005. Update: The previously announced play date on Thursday, July 29th will be rescheduled for another date. To join the distribution list, please email Liz at fennwei@yahoo.com.

The 2011 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006. To organize or host an event for this playgroup, email Liz at concordfamilyntwk@yahoo.com.

The 2012 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007. This group will meet on Friday, July 16th at 10:00 am at Bonnie's house. To RSVP, please email Bonnie at hoover.bonnie@gmail.com.

The 2013 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008. This group's schedule for July and August will be available soon. For more information or to join the distribution list, please email Jen at jengimber@yahoo.com.

The 2014 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2009. This group will meet on Thursday, July 13th from 12 noon to 1:00 pm at Susan's house. To RSVP, please email Susan at susanpassus@yahoo.com.

The 2015 Kindergarten Playgroup is for children with birth dates from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010. This group will meet on Friday, July 9th at 11:00 am at Amanda's house. To RSVP, please email Amanda at ahaeni@gmail.com.

Winter Play Space

CFN's Winter Play Space for 2009-2010 has closed for the season. Many thanks to Erin for devoting her entire winter's worth of Friday mornings to running Winter Play Space! Check back in the fall for next winter's program.

Organized Playgroups

Playgroups are a great way for kids to develop social skills and to learn from others while having fun. They offer parents the opportunity to share experiences, meet new friends, and take a break from the usual routine. Many CFN members participate in age-specific playgroups that meet at families' homes on a rotating basis and/or local playgrounds. As of the fall of 2008, CFN playgroups will be self-organizing via the CFN Message Board. To find a playgroup, post a message to the message board including the ages of your child(ren), your preferred days and times, and your contact information. You also can search the message board to view recent playgroup-related postings. Openings are available in some playgroups, and new playgroups are always welcome!
